China Post Convention 2007

Webmaster will be at the convention this year, last year I missed it because I got hired the same week for a new job. I will be discussing communication procedures.  One of the ideas that Fred and I discussed is getting the Poop Sheet out electronically, and not with postage cost. Those can save the post money. The current reality, is that those on the CP1 email list server normally get the Poop Sheet a week before it is printed. When the Printer sets the final version in PDF, it is sent to Fred, who sends it to me, and I post it on the website, and send out an email to those on the ListServer.
See http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chinapost1 for Listserver info.

See our Commo briefing if you miss the convention. http://chinapost1.org/commo.htm

See our first photos, which are webmaster photos. I hope to get some photos and write ups, comments and info FROM MEMBERS!!!

Yes, Mrs. Webmaster gets in the photos. You should send your photos!

Our convention page http://www.chinapost1.org/2007/2007-Reno-Convention.htm">http://www.chinapost1.org/2007/2007-Reno-Convention.htm has info about the frequently discussed Commo or communication procedures that can cut post cost.

Fred mentioned we spend almost $12,000 in postage a year. (Webmaster gets the Newsletters a week before the printer has it reading for mailing. ) So, get on the mailing list and you can save post postage and receive info quicker. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chinapost1/ YOU must send your membership number so that Fred can vet you for inclusion on the email list. Please also put minor data like your name in this request to join the ListServer. (Make it easy to vet you!) Remember, you MUST follow the instructions sent to you to activate your invitation after vetting is completed. The computer system will reject your email address if you do not follow the instructions. (They are easy)

Additionally, Fred is looking for someone to step up and take over the Auxiliary, since Jenny has handled it for some many years, it is time for her to get a break. Much more will come out in newsletter and I hope others will send some notes from the meetings.

    Enjoy the photos!
