John Gagen Fishing in Thailand 2006
(Photos attached when you open this) This past weekend I (John Gagen) went to Bang Sam Ran Lake outside of Bangkok along with a group of fishermen from the local bar I frequent. We had a great time and I caught two Cat Fish. One about 8 Kilograms and the other about 19 Kilograms. The big fish gave me quite a fight but I landed him in about 15 minutes of fighting. After the fishing tournament the bar had a golf outing but I was too tired to do that the next day! Maybe next year, especially if I can get my golf game back up to where it was years ago.

I have never traveled to another country just to fish, but it would be fun. I would have to research the area to find what kind of fish there would be and then be able to come prepared for the action. Sightseeing, shopping and eating would be a magnet to me also.
