The Northern Virginia Memorial Division of CP1 will hold its annual luncheon on Sunday, May 3, 2009

The Northern Virginia Memorial Division of CP1 will hold its annual luncheon on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Wu's Garden Restaurant, 418 Maple Avenue E, Vienna, VA. Festivities start at 11:30 AM with a Cash Bar. A multi-course Chinese Feast will be from 12:30 to 1:30 PM. We are honored to have as speaker Brigadier Rod West, CSC, of the Joint HQ Team- Iraq.  All CP1 members and their guests are welcome. Cost is $25.00 per person. New Scholarship Program at Lint Center for National Security Studies.

The next scholarships have been announced   We are looking at an award date of late August 2008.  Press Release for Jim & Anna Hyonjoo Lint National Security Scholarship.

I can also use people to assist on the scholarship committee.

This program is offered to help further the educational and career development of Counterintelligence and National Security Workers, their children and scholars of Counterintelligence and National Security and increase global understanding and national security.
 
Scholarship winners will receive the opportunity to have a mentor from the Counterintelligence or National Security profession sponsored by The Lint Center for National Security Studies, Inc. Additionally, essay will be published.  Winners will recieve a donated subscription from Stratfor.
 
CAPSTONE Essay:  Prepare an 600-800 word essay fully explaining one of the goals or concepts of The Lint Center for National Security Studies. This can be your thoughts, feelings, ideas or experiences pertaining to Counterintelligence, National Security, Alliance Building, and/or National Defense.  Ground-breaking innovative ideas/solutions are desired.  Essays will be judged on scholarly rigor, creativity and innovation. Authors are encouraged to be interdisciplinary in their thinking. The author of the essay will be judged by former Counterintelligence Special Agents.

China Post Convention 2007

Webmaster will be at the convention this year, last year I missed it because I got hired the same week for a new job. I will be discussing communication procedures.  One of the ideas that Fred and I discussed is getting the Poop Sheet out electronically, and not with postage cost. Those can save the post money. The current reality, is that those on the CP1 email list server normally get the Poop Sheet a week before it is printed. John Gagen Fishing in Thailand 2006

(Photos attached when you open this) This past weekend I (John Gagen) went to Bang Sam Ran Lake outside of Bangkok along with a group of fishermen from the local bar I frequent. We had a great time and I caught two Cat Fish. One about 8 Kilograms and the other about 19 Kilograms. The big fish gave me quite a fight but I landed him in about 15 minutes of fighting.
